Paypal has become one of the most popular ways of online payment in recent times. It’s safety, usability and other advantages have made it a widely chosen option. And so you have the clone scripts, for those webmasters who wish to start their own paypal like website, and build it on to be as popular, or even better.
Goldclonesoft is a paypal clone that caught our attention. The website of the makers is unimpressive, and you cannot view a demo; you have to request for one along with your details. We can tell you, that the default design needs to definitely be worked on. The company does not come across as very effective, and we can also tell you that the script needs to be worked on. The installation saw a lot of problems, and the support was able to help out after a long time.
There are three versions of the script. The Silver Package, priced at $500. They give you free installation and software updates, but the script cannot handle more than 3000 people. It’s ok if you’re looking at building a fairly small site. Also, the company doesn’t seem to come out with regular updates and announcements. The other two versions, priced at $900 and $1600, are the Gold and Platinum Packages respectively. They claim to give you 24/7 support, and even a personal representative, but again, we wish it would be more efficient. Language and communication is another problem with the people handling the script, and that needs to be worked on as well.
Overall, unless you’re looking at a small site with limited members, we don’t recommend Goldclonesoft.
