It comes with usual features: favorite lists, logos and banners, download vCard, website thumbnails, add to favorites, statistics, IP/URL/Website banning/filter, SEO friendly URLs, listing approval, payment gateway management and the like. It has a built-in banner rotation system with which advertisement management is made easy. Webmaster can make money through paid subscriptions as well. The processing speed of the site seems to be good even after loading a lot of products.
Unlike most scripts, PhpMyDirectory comes with three different templates, including a Yellow Pages template. You can edit templates to reflect the mood of your site.
Due to a failure of the application to properly sanitize user-supplied URL input, phpMyDirectory was reported vulnerable to cross-site scripting (XSS). But it seems that the later versions of the application were fine tuned to offer secured site for their clients.
The installation of the script is very simple, even beginners can do it with the assistance of their installation guide. The free lifetime customer support and active developer community are convenient for use at any time, but the live support is not available 24 hours.
However it is a little expensive but at $ 99.95, customers find it is well worth the money. The special offers like 50% off on after purchasing one license at normal price and 10% off the license price on purchase of 3 or more licenses at one time are really useful offer to save your money.
On the whole, it is a good script suitable for starting a business directory.

Purchased 3 days ago and paid an additional $40 for the “professional installation”. The total price after all the “add-ons” (which should be part of the package) ended up being $230. They still haven’t installed it, nor have they replied to any of my emails or support ticket requests asking for an update. There is no phone number to call for support either.
I have purchased phpmydirectory as advised by a web designed redesigning my website to assist with improving the multiple directories on my site. I am sitting back hopeful to see a completion on my website as the web designer attempts to get support from phpmydirectory. A recent response took 11 days to tell her she can only add ONE listing at a time under a category? I have hundreds and thousands to add under some of the categories. I thought there was supposed to be a capability to IMPORT databases? I do pray the support team members know what they’re responding to! I am off to seek REAL support for phpmydirectory! Oh yes, at $99 a month EXTRA you get purchase quicker support responses!

So frustrated - I forgot to rate. Price is enticing, while I am confident the results will be good…. but this is DEFINITELY not for beginners! I think they should have a list of those that can assist with the process, since their support team doesnt!
