Clone after clone, script after script, it’s undeniably confusing. The features and prices are even worse, when it comes to picking what exactly you want. As we’ve said before, you never get exactly everything you want, there’s either something missing, or there’s something extra you really don’t need.
We’ve reviewed Rayzz for you, Agriya’s youtube clone. We also mentioned they have launched a simpler baby version of their script and they call it Rayzz Lite. It has minimal features, and is suitable for those people who want to run a website that is just about the videos and not about all the other extra fittings. The script is as good and strong as Rayzz, though you are definitely not going to get all those features that set Rayzz apart. Rayzz Lite offers only video sharing, playback, commenting, and rating. So if that’s all you’re looking for, this could be a good option to go for.
At $197, it’s cheaper than Rayzz, but again, cost could be an issue with some people. But customers can pay on EMI basis, so that makes it a bit easier. If you want them to install the script, they charge an extra $53. Again, cost is an issue they could definitely work on.
While working with the script, we did encounter problems. It is not bug free and like any other script, has things that need to be fixed. They try and update quite often and fix bugs according to customers’ feedbacks. The support however, could also do with a better efficiency. It’s quite erratic. Sometimes they’re able to help you out immediately, and sometimes they just don’t understand what you are trying to say. The default design isn’t great either. It comes across as somewhat cluttered.
Overall, if you want something very basic, have a limited budget, and are willing to put up with a few problems, Rayzz Lite is a good option.
