So here’s another script that managed to catch our attention; we picked it up, used it, and this is what we have to give you.
Video Watch Pro is a YouTube clone made by a company that also makes a few other scripts.
The first thing that strikes you when you look at the website, is clutter. While the player itself looks ok, the default design could definitely do with some work and organization. As expected, we had problems while trying to install the script. While it wasn’t as troublesome as some of the other scripts we have seen, we were quite disappointed with the support system.
The basic script is priced at $200, with extra being charged for every extra thing done. An additional $50 is charged for installation, and we’d rather you got them to do it for you. You are bound to encounter problems and bugs even after, but the support is free, unless you choose to add new modules. We do find the modules fairly attractive. The company provides free upgrades for three months after purchase. They keep adding new features and modules constantly as well.
The players aren’t charged additionally for, but they could do being a little more classy. They tend to give some trouble occasionally.
It’s got the usual features of commenting, social networking to some extent, multilingual support, channels etc, but it would certainly do more good if the upload time is worked on and shortened.
Overall, we’d suggest you pick up this script only if you want to have a site with a limited number of members, are happy with the design, and can manage a few bugs on your own.

I’m typically not one to complain about service - I’d much rather give praise. But I do have a valid, legitimate complaint about my experience with this company. I ordered a copy of VideoWatch Pro a few months back. Ordered the complete package - the license, software installation, AND server configuration. When I placed my order, I received an email from the developer requesting my FTP and server login details - which I promptly supplied, and in the same email requested an ETA on completion. No reply. A few days later, I wrote back again, asking for an update. No reply. A week later, after not hearing anything at all from the developer, and after having lost hundreds of dollars, I submitted a paypal claim to get my money back. Guess what - I LOST because this is considered an “intangible item”! So I am now out $400, and the only resolution offered by the developer was a refund on installation fees - which was about $75. Also consider this. They have NO community forum. This tells you you’re relying entirely on the customer support I experienced if you run into bugs or other issues with your software. So good luck! Here’s another thing to consider. Play around with the demo long enough and you will find the software is RIDDLED with bugs. Half the demo videos don’t even work. This was my experience, and I only post it in hopes I can prevent others from going through the same thing. I am going to seek further small claims legal action against this company. Don’t put yourself in the same situation!
